Why did the Chicken cross the road?
That’s an easy one – to get to The Capital Mbombela of course!
Have you met our feathered friend, Capi-Cluck-Cluck? Don’t be alarmed if you see her strutting her stuff in the parking lot at our hotel. She’s been making guest appearances at our property since late July this year.
How did she get here?
Ms Capi-Cluck-Cluck arrived one afternoon when she was spotted flying off the back of bakkie, passing by on N4. She obviously has good taste because she took one look at our hotel and knew immediately that this was the place she wanted to stay.
On route to where ever, she jumped ship and made our apartment hotel her new home. Although she arrived without a reservation, and because she simply would not leave, we decided to accommodate her, and not to ruffle any feathers.
We’ve let her take up home in our parking lot. She seems to be very happy there and doesn’t seem to be worrying anyone during her stay. She’s a pretty low maintenance kinda-guest. Never really asking for anything or even ordering late night room service, she’s actually quite easy to have around.
Her favourite spaces seem to be our grassy patch near the road and she can often be spotted parking-off around our VIP parking area – she clearly knows her place and that she’s become a bit of a celebrity around here.
So, if you spot her strutting her stuff as she looks right, looks left and then right again as she moves with purpose across the parking lot, give her a wave – Ms Capi-cluck-cluck loves to be recognized. Try grab a selfie with her:

December 2022 Update
So turns out the grass may be greener on the other side….well, at least for some of our favourite guests. Our feathered friend, Capi-Cluck-Cluck has been relocated to a lovely farm nearby.
It was great having you around…..see you on the other side of the road 😊
