The escalating energy crisis in South Africa has many negative consequences including surging negative emotions and hardships which could eventually lead to civil unrest and looting or riots. While it’s disheartening to think about potential riots, being prepared is the key to navigating such situations.
The question is what do you do in the event of riots or looting?
We advise you to stay calm and be prepared to evacuate your home , if necessary: In the event that the situation escalates and you feel unsafe you need to have a plan in place for evacuation. Identify safe routes, arrange for transportation, and have a designated meeting point for your family or loved ones and seek shelter in secure locations like The Capital Hotels , Apartments and Resorts. Remember, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
We have an excellent track record of operating in a crisis as witnessed in COVID and therefore have a Riot Plan, we have been preparing since load shedding began.
