Zimbali Acquisition
We have acquired from business rescue the iconic Fairmont Zimbali Resort on KwaZulu Natal’s North Coast, with the deal likely to be completed once conditions precedent, including the Competition Commission’s approval having been met.
As part of the acquisition, we will be retaining the employment of the approximately 140 existing employees as well as investing over R40 million in upgrades for this iconic hotel.
We hope to open doors in November 2021 and we are already taking bookings from December 2021 onward.

15 on Orange Lease to Acquire
We have signed a lease with an option to acquire another iconic hotel, 15 on Orange in Cape Town where we will invest R15 million on renovating the hotel to highest standards including the introduction of apartments into the hotel mix.
We will open doors on 15 August 2021 and although trading in Cape Town is tough with limited international travel, we are totally sure that this hotel will buck the tough trend as a unique and newly renovated incredible offering for Cape Town.

New Build – Nelspruit
The Capital Hotels and Apartments also has a brand new a new property currently under construction in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
This hotel will open 1 December 2021.
