Where to go
Tours to Robben Island
Every year, hundreds of people visit Robben Island, a unique emblem of “the triumph of the human spirit over adversity, pain, and injustice” with a rich 500-year multi-layered history, eager to comprehend and honour the key aspects of South African history that the island represents.
Zeitz MOCAA Museum of Contemporary Art
The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a contemporary art museum in Cape Town, located in the Silo District of the V&A Waterfront. It is the world’s largest museum of contemporary African art.
Two Oceans Aquarium
The meeting point of two mighty and abundant oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic, is located at the southern tip of Africa. The Two Oceans Aquarium, located on the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, is perfectly positioned to exhibit the magnificent diversity of marine life that can be found in these two oceans.
What to do
See The City From A Bird’s-Eye View
Take a magnificently scenic helicopter flight around Cape Town’s lovely beach shoreline. A range of aircraft itineraries are available, ranging from 12 minutes to 48 minutes. Expect to see beautiful views of the coast, Table Mountain, Robben Island, and the Cape Town city bowl.
Boat and Yacht cruises
From last-minute cruises to luxurious sunset trips on a yacht to seal snorkelling, boat and yacht options are (naturally) in abundance at the V&A Waterfront. They also cater to large groups, so if you’re craving a jol on the ocean, we highly recommend doing so at The Waterfront.
The Cape Wheel
Our Cape Wheel is a massive observation wheel that provides a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of Cape Town from the lively V&A Waterfront precinct. It has 30 fully-enclosed air-conditioned carriages, two that are wheelchair-friendly, that elevate you 40 metres above the ground in safety and comfort on a four-revolution ride. Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Cape Town City skyline, the Paarl Mountains, and the Cape Town Stadium are all visible from the Wheel.
We’d love to make your stay as comfortable as possible at the Capital.
