The Capital Hotels, Apartments and Resorts – Name our Restaurant– May 2026 – In partnership with The Capital Boardwalk and Algoa FM

1. The competition is open to all audience members of The Capital Hotels, Apartments and Resorts and Algoa FM (hereinafter referred to as “The Organisers”).
2. Competition opens 7 May 2026 at 00:01 and ends on 21 May 2026 at 23:59.
3. Entry mechanism requires the entrant to be complete the entry form on The Capital website.
4. By entering, your contact details will be stored for future marketing activities by The Organisers. Should you receive any marketing communication, there will be a clear option to unsubscribe from The Capital or Algoa FM’s correspondence, if you wish to do so, but we’d love to see you stay.
5. Entrants will only receive 1 entry per submission, no matter how many names they have suggested.
6. Only entries made within the competition timeline using the correct entry mechanism will be considered. No late entries allowed.
7. Winner will be announced on 29 May 2026 LIVE on Algoa FM.
8. Winners can only win once per 12-month period.
9. The entrants stand the chance of winning:

• 3 x Finalists will receive R2 500 each
• The winner will enjoy dinner for one year, valid from 1 June 2026 to 30 May 2027. Each month, a dining experience valued at R1 250 will be awarded, totalling R15 000 over the year. Along with this, the winner will receive ultimate bragging rights and be featured in our food and beverage menu at The Capital Boardwalk, sharing the story behind the chosen name for all guests to see for the duration of their prize period (12 months).
• The top 4 finalists will be invited to The Capital Boardwalk Launch Party, where winner will be announced.

10. Winners will be determined by a random draw by The Organisers.
11. Monthly Food and Beverage allocations at The Capital Boardwalk restaurant, must be redeemed within 1 year, cannot be carried over to the next month, cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable. Up to full monthly allocation value to be redeemed per booking, no leftover value per booking will be carried over.
12. Bookings at the restaurant are subject to availability.
13. The Organisers will contact the winner via email or by telephone, if available. Should the winner not respond within 24 (twenty-four) hours after the announcement has been made, they will be disqualified, and a new winner will be drawn and announced.
14. The Organisers accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any network or any late, lost, or corrupted entries. The Organisers are not liable for any costs incurred, responses received or any consequences of user error.
15. The judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The Organisers will not be held responsible for any disputes arising from the competition or prizes awarded.
16. Winners will use the prizes at their own risk. The Organisers will not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death that is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize.
17. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances out of their control should arise.
18. The Organisers reserve the right to photograph and publish the winners’ names in any printed media or any other relevant media upon the winners being consulted and agree to the above.
19. Should any of the winners be found not to have complied with these rules, he/she may be automatically disqualified.
20. Any expense/s which may result from the possession of and/or use of the prize/s is the sole responsibility of the winner.
21. Unless explicitly specified otherwise in the competition section below, individuals who are at least 18 years old and natural persons are eligible to participate. Excluded from participation are individuals serving as suppliers of goods or services related to this competition, as well as directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of The Capital Hotels, Apartments and Resorts, Algoa FM or any entity under its direct or indirect control. Additionally, the competition is not open to spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, or business partners of the aforementioned individuals.
22. Entrants must be based in South Africa.
23. Entry into the competition implies acceptance of the above.
